Terms of Service

1. Agreement and operator

These Terms govern access to the Chart in Motion website, applications, data displays, and related services operated by Chart in Motion (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and the linked Privacy Policy and Risk Disclaimer. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract under the law that applies to you. We do not knowingly accept accounts from anyone under 18. You must provide accurate account information. You are responsible for your credentials and activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@chartinmotion.com if you believe the account has been compromised. Confirm your email address. If an account’s email was never confirmed, the real owner of that email can take it over by signing in with Google; the old password and sessions then stop working.

3. Service scope

Chart in Motion provides charting, watchlist, screening, signal, market-context, and research tools. Features, coverage, limits, data sources, and beta availability can change. The Free tier provides two curated watchlists (India and US) with per-user stars, columns and filters, and lets each signed-in account keep up to five personal watchlists of up to 500 stocks each, chosen from the curated lists (personal watchlists need a confirmed email address). Without an account, or before you confirm your email, you can open 10 different charts a day, counted per browser (or account) and per internet connection. The count resets at midnight India time. Paid tiers are not offered until final commercial terms are published.

4. Market data and analysis

Market data can be delayed, unavailable, incomplete, or incorrect. Channels, signal chips, NEW markers, metrics, verdicts, breadth measures, and other outputs are analytical tools. They do not create a duty to monitor your positions or notify you of market events. Read the Risk Disclaimer before use.

4a. Not advice

Chart in Motion is an analysis tool, not investment advice. Chart in Motion is not registered with SEBI as an investment adviser or research analyst. Chart in Motion gives no buy, sell or hold call, price target, trading call or recommendation of its own, and nothing in the service is advice made for you. Some screens show analysts’ consensus rating and average price target for a stock: that is third-party data, shown as received from our data providers. It is not our view, and we do not check, adopt or endorse it. We do not know your finances or goals. You make your own decisions and carry their results.

5. AI-generated analysis

Saved Company Insights can be read for 5 companies a month with a Free account or as a guest, for 10 with Pro, and for every company with Pro+. AI output may contain errors, omit context, or misread source material. AI-generated analysis — verify before acting. Availability, limits, model providers, and tier placement may change.

6. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the service. Prohibited conduct includes attempting unauthorised access; disrupting availability; bypassing access or usage limits; introducing malicious code; scraping or reselling the service where not expressly allowed; copying, redistributing or reselling market data from the service; violating third-party rights; or using the service unlawfully.

6a. Responsible disclosure

We welcome good-faith security research. Report suspected vulnerabilities to support@chartinmotion.com with “Security” in the subject and reproduction steps. Do not access, modify or exfiltrate other users’ data, degrade the service, or disclose publicly before we have had 90 days to respond. Research that follows these rules is not a breach of section 6 and we will not pursue legal action for it.

7. Intellectual property

The service, interface, original text, code, branding, and product design are owned by us or our licensors. Market data and third-party materials may be owned by their providers. These Terms give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service for your own lawful purposes; they do not transfer ownership. Market data in the service is licensed from third parties for display to you. Use it only for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, and do not copy, redistribute, resell or publish it.

8. Beta availability and changes

Beta access may be limited, paused, or withdrawn. We may change or discontinue features, fix errors, impose reasonable limits, or suspend access to protect users or the service. If we reduce what the Free tier includes, we will tell registered users by email in advance.

9. Fees, cancellation, and refunds

Free accounts can open 25 stocks a day; guests can open 10. For India billing addresses, Pro costs ₹2,000 per month and Pro+ costs ₹3,000 per month, renewing monthly through Razorpay. Outside India, Pro costs US$20 per month and Pro+ costs US$30 per month, renewing monthly through PayPal. Each paid plan can also be paid yearly at 25% off: in India, Pro costs ₹18,000 per year and Pro+ costs ₹27,000 per year; outside India, Pro costs US$180 per year and Pro+ costs US$270 per year. A yearly plan renews automatically each year until you cancel it, except a year paid once in India, which does not renew. We email you before a yearly plan renews or ends. You can switch from a monthly plan to a yearly plan at any time; the unused part of your current monthly price is credited against the yearly price. You can manage or cancel a subscription in Plans in the app. The 30-day refund window, cancellation timing and plan-change terms are set out in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

9a. Referral month

A member can share a personal invite link from the app. If someone creates a new account through that link and their first payment for a paid plan goes through, each of you gets one free month once that payment is past its 30-day refund window and has not been refunded: 30 days of access added after the access you already have. The new member’s month is at the plan they bought; the inviting member’s month is at their current plan, or Pro if they are on Free. A free month is not billed and does not pause, delay or change a subscription, which still renews on its date unless you cancel it. An invite counts once, only for an account created through the link, and not for your own other accounts or email addresses. One member can earn at most 12 free months from invites. If the new member’s first payment is refunded inside that window, neither of you gets a free month; if it is refunded later, both free months end. Free months have no cash value. We may change or end this offer as section 14 describes, and remove free months gained by misuse.

10. Third-party services

The service may rely on exchanges, market-data providers, hosting companies, email and form services, Google sign-in (if you use it), and other third parties. Their systems and terms may affect availability. A link to a third-party site does not imply endorsement.

11. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, the service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise uninterrupted access, complete data, or error-free analysis. We are not liable for trading or investment losses, lost profits, or indirect loss from using the service or from decisions you make with it. For any other claim, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹5,000, whichever is higher. None of this limits our liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or any liability or consumer right that Indian law does not let a business exclude, including under the Consumer Protection Act 2019.

12. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end access for a material breach, security risk, legal requirement, or service closure. Provisions that by nature should survive termination will continue, including ownership, disclaimers, and dispute terms.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. If you are a consumer, you may also go to the Consumer Commission where you live or work, as the Consumer Protection Act 2019 allows.

14. Changes and contact

If we make a material change, we will tell account holders by email or in the app at least 15 days before it takes effect, unless the law or a security fix needs it sooner. If you do not agree, stop using the service and ask us to close your account. If a court finds any part of these Terms invalid, the rest still applies. We may transfer these Terms to a buyer of the service only if your rights stay the same, and we will tell you first.
